Chlortetracycline use in Poultry

Chlortetracycline hydrochloride is indicated for treatment of primary and secondary bacterial gastrointestinal infections and treatment of primary and secondary bacterial respiratory infections in poultry (Mycoplasmosis, CRD).

In veterinary medicine, chlortetracycline is commonly used to treat conjunctivitis in cats, dogs and horses. It is also used to treat infected wounds in cattle, sheep an pigs, and respiratory tract infections in calves, pigs and chickens.

Chlortetracycline hydrochloride is a Type A Medicated Article for disease control in chickens, including laying hens and turkeys.
